Planning, Execution and Sponsorships Sales of Sports/Cultural/PR Event Contents include;

  • Marketed the advertising media and sponsorships of the Italian Serie A Teams such as AC Milan, AC Parma and Reggina Calcio as well as the F.I.G.C. (Italian Soccer Federation) for the Azzurri(National Team) and the Casa Azzurri(Italian HQs, Press Center, Hospitality Facilities, Sponsor Showcase/Offices) during the 2002 World Cup, to Japanese high profile sponsors and top advertising agencies.

  • Organized and marketed the sponsorships of tours/training camps/to Japan by top Italian Serie A teams such as AC Parma(w/ Nakata) in 2003 and SS Lazio in 2004. Also played a key role in producing the local soccer matches and side events w/ J-League teams during such tours/camps, while assisting the Italian teams as a media coordinator during their visits. Also, coordinated the licensing agreements with the team for such merchandising activities.

  • Produced and directed various cultural/sports/corporate events for national and international clients including Intel Japan(localized Keynote Speeches by Mr. Andy Grove and other top executives of Intel, IT Workshops/Presentations/Windows World Stand, etc.), Seibu Dept.   • Executed strategic PR and promotional activities by closely working with prominent media for theatrical/musical productions, performing artists including Mr.Jose Carreras, professional soccer teams, products and Government Tourist Bureaus.

  • Marketed the TV rights of various sports events including the Friendly Matches in Switzerland by the Japanese National Team immediately before the 1998 World Cup in France, further to those for the friendly matches played by the Italian teams above, etc.

  • Designed/offered target-specific, highly entertaining hospitality programs in association with the executed events, while also gave a strong emphasis on special programs for children including the underprivileged and the physically challenged, whenever possible.

Productions & Sales include;

  • Produced a Photo-Essay Book of Chikuzen Satoh(Singer/Song Writer; Sing Like Talking) published by Media Works.

  • Produced various Advertising, PR & Promotional Materials in Japan and overseas for Japan’s top advertisers such as NTT(IT products) and Pioneer(Worldwide Corporate Ads featuring Sir. George Martin), Seibu Dept. Stores(N.Y. Fashion News Video Series) and major advertising agencies, including TVCMs, Print Ads, PVs, Point-of-Sale materials, and premium goods, etc.

  • Launched the “i-Style Japan” e-commerce site to offer various designer skins for i-Pod online, while distributing i-Pod and game accessories in stores nationwide. Produced and distributed i-Pod skins featuring the Japan National Team for the 2006 FIFA World Cup and other under the licensing agreement with the Japan Football Association.

  • Was the first company to introduce the 3D stadium advertising device in J-League official games. The advertising carpets were produced in Italy and sold to J-League sponsors.

Director of Marketing & Promotions

  • Responsible for the marketing and promotions of all properties owned and managed by Warner Brothers by closely working with the internal Divisions, Theatrical(Movie) Div. and the Video Sales Div., as well as with the WB HQs in Burbank, other offices in the Pacific Rim and other Time-Warner Group companies such as Time Japan and Warner Music, while managing 10 divisional subordinates.

  • Responsible for promotional licensing sales and the overall marketing budget, while educating/ developing good relationships with the merchandising licensees in such product categories as games, toys, stationeries, apparels, accessories, toiletries, sporting goods, publishing, etc. through licensing seminars and PR events for existing licensees and prospects.

  • Successfully re-launched the Looney Tunes property group in Japan, with the improved recognition level and the incremental sales of licensed merchandise and new licensing deals, by implementing strategic PR, media promotions and TV programming(TX), while strictly maintaining the property images and the merchandising quality.

  • Controlled PR and advertising agencies for various marketing and communications activities including events, editorial and promotional tie-ups with sponsors and select media.

  • Executed tie-in media promotions with licensees, and other Time-Warner Group companies.

  • Operated the Warner Brothers Beach House in Enoshima as a PR base for all WB properties while executing various PR events on the Enoshima Beach throughout the summer of 1990.

  • Implemented quantitative/qualitative researches and competitive studies, while developed various PR kits and promotional materials for WB properties..

Freelance Work: 1988-1989

  • Organized a private dinner party for Michael Douglas in Tokyo, w/ “Black Rain” casts as guests, including Ken Takakura.

  • Assisted Mr. Kunihiko Murai, one of the most respected contemporary music composers in Japan with his music production and publishing operations at 1981 Music, Inc.

  • Responsible for Sales Promotions for an Opera production by IMG, “CARMEN” starring Jose Carreras as Don Jose. Also organized the VIP Marquees(hospitality tents) for 2 weeks, with guests of honor and celebrities, tying up with Veuve Cliquot.

  • Executed PR/Sales Promotions for the Japan Concert Tour(Tokyo & Osaka) by Jose Carreras.

  • General Producer( Assignment in Los Angeles ) for Producer Associates-Los Angeles Branch

  • Responsible for the planning and productions of TV commercials featuring Hollywood celebrities such including Michael J. Fox for Japanese high profile advertisers represented by Dentsu such as Honda and Suntory.

  • Carried out contractual negotiations with talents, agents and attorneys in L.A. and acted as a key liaison with Dentsu and the clients’ attorneys in Japan. Responsibility also included directing talents during film shooting sessions.
